I met Sofia and Pedro at the Dream Wedding Show and I am so happy and honored to be photographing their wedding. Sofia wanted to start her engagement session at a coffee shop and as a coffee connoisseur, I couldn’t think of a better place to begin. As the day went on they told me their sweet story of how they met in school, lost touch and cross paths again only to realized that in each others arms is where they belong.

Engaged | 2012 Bridal Showcase
January 8th, 2012Congratulations, you’re engaged! It seems like Christmas of 2011 was the year to get engaged. I have met so many brides who said “YES” over the Christmas holiday and numerous of them could be found at the Bridal Showcase in Cal Expo this weekend. Elks Tower Ballroom Wedding | Amalia & Jorge
December 7th, 2011
I had a great time photographing my friends Amalia and Jorge’s wedding. Amalia wore a one strap dress with a the flower in her hair, she looked like Eva Longoria and Jorge looked dapper and like George Clooney on the red carpet.
The church ceremony at Santuario De Quadalupe went smooth the pews were packed with friends and family. This is the second wedding that I’ve been to that Mariachi’s played the wedding march as the bride made her way to the groom and I must say that it’s growing on me. Afterwords, we opened a bottle of champagne and ran around downtown for bridal portraits with our last at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium.
At the Elks Tower Ballroom the guest rose to their feet and cheered as Amalia and Jorge made there way to the table. They had there first dance, cut the cake and danced the rest of the night away.

Elks Tower Ballroom | Santuario De Quadalupe
December 7th, 2011This has been an exciting year for me as a wedding photographer. I’ve learned a lot about my family, made deeper bonds with friends, my business is growing and I’m not done yet! I’m happy to report that I have one more wedding to shoot before 2011 is out. My friends Amalia and Jorge are getting married this weekend. The ceremony will be at the Santuario De Quadalupe and the reception will be held in Elks Tower Ballroom; we are super excited. We are also running around and getting ready for the 2012 Arden Hills Premier Wedding Show and the Dream Wedding Show at CalExpo, we are so psyched!

Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament | Nallely & Erick

Nallely and Erick had their civil wedding at Tiburon earlier this year and this weekend they celebrated their religious ceremony in Sacramento at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. I first met with Erick and his Groomsmen and took pictures of them poolside. Then ran to see Nallely for her getting ready pictures. Nallely looked cool and relaxed as she was getting her make up done by Anita and when we were finished with family photos we whisked her over to the House of Fashion so they could adjust her veil and train. The ceremony began at 2pm. Erick waited for his bride in front of the alter as Nallely walked down the aisle with her father towards her groom. The church was packed with friends and family. The mother of the bride gave her a blessing before the father handed her of to the groom; mother and daughter briefly cried. Mariachis sang hymns during the ceremony and in front of us all Erick and Nallely were made one. After-wards we walked down J street and photographed them in front of the Crest Theater and the Capital.

Baker Beach | The Day After | Nallely & Erick

A few days after Nallely and Erick’s Civil Wedding, I met them on the edge of the Presidio at Baker Beach for a Bridal Portrait. Beach Bridal Portraits are memorable and super romantic. It was great to see them walking on the edge of the water, walking hand in hand, holding their shoes while Nallely’s Wedding dress danced in the ocean breeze. I strongly believe that every Bridal couple should go out for a “Day After” Bridal Portrait; it’s fun!

Malibu | Engagement Session | Tamara & Shaun

I had a good time photographing Tamara and Shaun in Malibu this weekend. They are getting married at the Church of Christ which sits in the heart of the Pepperdine University Campus. The campus is beautiful with tall grass, flowers, palm trees, fountains and it sits on top of a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This beautiful scenery was the backdrop for their engagement session.
From Pepperdine we made our way to the “Penthouse at the Huntley Hotel.” Designed by Thomas Schoos, this restaurant is a celebration to all the senses. It’s lounge with beautiful design textures, people and the food is fabulous. As a photographer, light is a big deal and this restaurant didn’t disappoint. The entire joint is surrounded by windows and we were saturated with the golden glow of sunset. We took our seats in a cabana style booth overlooking Santa Monica and continued our engagement session while we waited for our drinks. Later that evening we crashed a group of Argentine Tango Dancers while they danced on 3rd street. Tamara and Shaun shared a kiss while they stood in the middle of all the dancers. I’m looking forward to their wedding in March 2012.

Centennial United Methodist | Wedding Day | Jesse & James

I had a great time photographing Jesse and James this weekend. James got ready at his place, he was sporting Transformer cuff link and I think I might need to get Kevin a pair. The Grooms Men were cool, in fact this guys acted more like a pack of brothers than just Grooms Men. Jesse got ready at her mothers place, her bride maids were graceful and cute. When I went to see Jesse she was all smiles but nervous. Her friends had a good time helping her into her dress and when it was all done she looked beautiful. The Centennial United Methodist Church was packed with friends and family and afterward we went to William Land Park for photos in front Vintage 1936 Dodge Coupe.
