The more weddings I do in Sacramento the more I learn and love this place. Daphne and Chris’s wedding took place in Old Folsom. We had fun photographing the bridal party around the Historic Town of Old Folsom. After wards, the ceremony was celebrated at the Trinity Episcopal Church on Figueroa St. When I saw the location I was amazed how many times I drove by this place and never noticed this charming church. Founded in 1856, they say that it may be the oldest church in Folsom, and the third oldest Episcopal church in California. It’s a very nice church for a intimidate wedding and on this day it was nearly 100 degrees.

Wedding Day | July 24th 2004 | Nathan Smith
I’ve been very lucky to be in love with this lady for that last 16 years. When people ask me why I photograph weddings, the truth is I’m a what you call a quiet romantic. I remember that I cried on the day of our wedding and til this day I don’t totally understand why it happened. I’ve been called a wooss before but this my friends wasn’t a “wooss” moment. The truth is that as we dance our first dance, the love I felt from my wife, my family and friends was so strong that it overwhelmed me and I lost it for a minute.
Why do I share this? Because I am still madly in love with this lady and my wish as a Wedding Photographer is that everyone find their better half and live happily ever after.
Happy Anniversary Babe.

Last night we photographed our friends at Rancho Murieta Country Club, what a beautiful and serene place for a wedding. It was a great idea to photograph them at the same time of day that the wedding will be taking place. We scouted the golf course for the best location for their bridal portrait and went we over the time line for the day. I didn’t know that Rancho Murieta had two 18 hole championship golf courses! It was so much fun to hangout and photograph the engaged couple, they are so full of excitement. I am so lucky to be photographing theit wedding and I’m looking forward to meeting the family at the rehearsal dinner.

I started my day with a relaxing 3 hour car drive from Sacramento to the the historic Zaballa House at the delightful coastal town of Half Moon Bay. Betty, the bride, was beautiful and nervous and Jose, the groom, was handsome, quiet and just as anxious. They both had their own suite at the Zaballa House which made it easy for me to photograph them as they were getting ready.

My Wedding Day - July 24th 2004
Weddings are always a challenge. Finding the perfect wedding cake was fun, but spending countless of extra hours in the gym to make sure that we looked great on our wedding day; that my friend was tough. However, that wasn’t nearly as challenging as making sure that all the guest had their portraits from our wedding. Our family members flew in from varies parts of the world for our wedding and like many families, we haven’t been together in the same room for years. Sending everyone a print of our family portrait was an added step to the wedding processes that we didn’t foresee. Believe me after a wedding the last thing you want to deal with is more wedding stuff, isn’t that the reason why we go on a honeymoon in the first place to leave all that wedding stuff behind? That is the reason why we created the Carlos Valentino Store Front. All of your wedding images are uploaded to a location where your guest can view and purchase their portrait prints, leaving you free of worry.

Elegance is not an item that you can purchase but it is a lifestyle. It’s not the type of wine that you enjoy with your dinner that makes you elegant, but the way you hold your wine glass while having a conversation that displays your elegance. The car you drive, the gadgets you own or the neighborhood you dwell in can never reveal elegance as well as your smile, your kiss and your embrace. Elegance is pleasing, fun,
beautiful, stylish, contagious and sentimental. To me there isn’t another event more magnificently elegant than the day of a Wedding. I love sharing the gift of elegance and I share it through my Wedding Photography.
Your Wedding day should be pleasingly fun, beautifully stylish and sentimentally contagious. My goal as your wedding photographer is to capture all the moments and preserve them in a family heirloom for you to enjoy forever.
Let’s meet for a consultation.
